Project Engineer

What You Will Be Doing

• Review contract and specifications in its entirety
• Affiliate with Project Manager, Project Superintendent as needed
• Affiliate with all schedule preparations and updates
• Affiliate with quantity reporting, project costs and forecasts
• Requisition equipment and material deliveries as required
• Couple with subcontractors, suppliers and workforce to resolve project challenges and conflicts
• Affiliate with monthly billing, cash flow projections, and change order processing
• Manage document control to include submittal schedules, contract documents, project record drawings, etc.
• Review Heavy Jobdaily reports for accuracy
• Compose and maintain technical submittal list, NPDES permits, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan, and Project Progress Schedule as required
• Comply with notice requirements such as inspections, survey staking, joint measurements with owner and/or engineer, utility locations and adjustments, testing, claims, etc.
• Issue correspondence to subcontractors and vendors when revised plan and/or specifications affect products or services
• Affiliate with project closeout
• Perform additional assignments per the Project Manager’s direction

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field required
• 2+ years of construction engineering experience required
• Beginner knowledge of construction equipment & techniques, drawing & specifications, building materials and required standards applicable to the project
• Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate effectively with others
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of construction scheduling and production time management preferred
