Essential Functions
- Aid contractors in interpreting job designs and ensuring construction adheres to project plans.
- Support project controls, including budgeting, scheduling, and planning.
- Coordinate project implementation, manage project schedules and forecasts.
- Interpret drawings for subcontractors, review engineering deliverables, and redline drawings.
- Create and maintain bill of materials, monitor budgets, track trends, and prepare status reports.
- Research and provide updates on city, county, and state construction codes and regulations as needed.
- Assist in evaluating and developing solutions to problems and questions from subcontractors and workers on-site.
- Support RFI submittals from project staff and attend site meetings.
- Represent current projects and participate in safety training and initiatives.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of interpreting architectural, engineering, and civil drawings.
- Understanding of construction industry terms and operations.
- Effective interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience making independent decisions.
- Strong attention to detail.
Minimum Education/Equivalent Experience Requirements
- A degree in Construction Management preferred.
- Advanced knowledge in interpreting building blueprints, including estimating.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of construction software like Timberline and Microsoft Project.
- Experience working with third-party developers and state/local officials.
- Good communication skills.
- At least 1 year of construction experience.
- OSHA training and GSWCC 1 certification preferred.
- Experience in both site improvements and vertical construction.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability to work safely in ongoing construction activities and various weather conditions.
- Ability to walk and climb steps.
- Ability to work long hours as needed.
Travel
This is a traveling field position. Projects over 1 hour from the residence will require staying at a company-paid hotel. The company provides a vehicle allowance, per diems, and a company gas card in addition to salary and benefits.
