Project Engineer
About the role
The candidate will serve as a Project Engineer in the Infrastructure & Transportation Practice in Georgia. The candidate will find opportunities on a wide range of projects involving multi-modal roadway planning, highway design, civil design, design review and construction oversight.
Responsibilities
- Perform and lead engineering design tasks for infrastructure projects from conceptual design to final design.
- Develop plans, specifications, quantities, and cost estimates.
- Possess excellent in-depth knowledge of roadway design software tools including MicroStation and OpenRoads.
- Mentor and develop new engineers in transportation and highway design.
- Lead and coordinate design activities between staff, subcontractors, and clients.
- Perform technical analyses and reviews of infrastructure projects.
- Support Project Managers to ensure projects meet the defined schedules, cost estimates, and performance/technical measures and specifications. This includes development of Project Management Plans, Scopes of Work, Cost Estimates, and other project management related activities.
- Aids in preparing and developing proposals, presentations, reports, and studies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Licensed PE in the State of Georgia
- In depth knowledge of MicroStation and Open Roads with a background in 3D modeling
- Strong technical design background in highway design and transportation engineering
- GDOT experience preferred

- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to direct and supervise staff engineers and technicians
- Basic knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
