What You'll Do

• Safety is E2 Optics' top priority. Follow all safety protocols and promote a family-centric culture.
• Develop and enhance data center technical training, SOPs, and work instructions to ensure compliance with customer quality plans and industry standards.
• Provide field and project engineering, quality control, contract administration, shop drawing review, submittals, scheduling, RFIs, and related project support functions per contract.
• Manage change orders, including administration, pricing, submission, and tracking.
• Establish the construction plan and engineering methods per the project scope of work and project specifications.
• Administer and develop methods for all field testing, ensuring quality monitoring.
• Coordinate and review drawings, submissions, specifications, changes, and document control.
• Coordinate with the project and field management teams and field personnel for temporary works, audits, and inspections for cabling installations.
• Manage inventory control, monitoring, and tracking of test equipment and resources.
• Manage inventory control, monitoring, and tracking of label printing equipment and operations.
• Create frameworks for improving project efficiencies and managing project profitability.
• Develop project metrics and manage data collection.
• Provide technical and regulatory compliance expertise and support.
• Drive continuous improvement activities and support Lean initiatives.

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or Engineering, or relevant experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in structured cabling design work.
• RCDD (BICSI: Registered Communications Distribution Design).
• Applicable Project Management Certification.
• Strong leadership, communication, influencing, and collaborative skills.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities.
• Large data center construction, design, and technical knowledge preferred.
• Blue Beam experience highly preferred.
• Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and methods.
• Tactful, professional demeanor, and ability to interact effectively with managers, employees, vendors, and others.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, record-keeping, time management, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to identify and meet customer expectations and requirements.
• Self-starter and problem-solver.
• Ability to develop, update, and follow policies, standards, and standard operating procedures.
• Prioritize and manage multiple tasks with changing priorities.
• Work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The standard work environment for this position is an indoor business office and construction environment. The noise level is usually moderate. This role requires sitting, use of hands and arms, verbal communication, and occasional physical movement such as stooping or kneeling. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must regularly carry and climb ladders to 20 feet.
