Key Responsibilities

  • Support development and commercialization of next-generation compressor technologies and residential HVAC products.
  • Lead technical activities required to mature, validate, qualify, and implement new product technologies.
  • Analyze compressor performance, reliability, efficiency, and field-return data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Work directly with laboratory technicians to evaluate testing results, troubleshoot issues, and support product validation activities.
  • Cook up reliability testing efforts and ensure products meet performance, durability, and quality requirements.
  • Cook up coordination with manufacturing, supplier quality, procurement, marketing, program management, and engineering teams to drive project execution.
  • Communicate technical information, recommendations, risks, and project updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support customers in resolving application, performance, and product-related issues.
  • Participate in root cause investigations of field, customer, and manufacturing issues.
  • Aid in progression of projects through the new product development process.
  • Drive technical problem-solving efforts while balancing multiple priorities and competing business needs.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and Lean product development practices.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related engineering discipline.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to work primarily onsite.
  • Ability to travel approximately 2-3 weeks per year.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • In HVAC, refrigeration, compressors, rotating equipment, appliances, or related industries.
  • Product engineering or new product development experience.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, testing, reliability, or field performance investigations.
  • Exposure to customer-facing technical support or supplier interactions.
  • Knowledge of residential HVAC systems and compressor technologies.
