Project Engineer

Position Introduction

Cimarron is seeking a Project Engineer to support the TOS II contract at Arnold Air Force Base in Tullahoma, TN. The Project Engineer will be part of an integrated team supporting United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

Key Duties

• Monitor project progress, prepare procedures, document communications, and identify/project issues/problems.
• Coordinate efforts among technical disciplines, vendors, and licensors to ensure integrated and complete designs that meet project requirements and contractual obligations.
• Review staffing requirements and coordinate with functional organization managers/subcontractors.
• Create and coordinate project plans, schedules, effort hours, cost estimates, and budgets, and monitor progress and performance.
• Prepare and coordinate project deliverables, design documents, and bid packages.
• Lead development of technical area designs and engineering specifications.
• Plan and ensure requisition of materials, ensuring designs meet requirements across self-performed and subcontracted efforts.
• Develop cost and schedule for execution of assigned scope, develop design change packages, and provide updates to project, engineering, and construction management teams.
• Ensure quality of engineering documents (drawings, specs, calculations).
• Perform self-assessments within assigned technical functional area, review and address audit trends, and review/verify/validation of new or updated software.
• Develop and train team members to achieve desired career outcomes and assign activities accordingly.
• Ensure compliance with PPE policies and participate in pre-employment background checks, breath alcohol tests, and drug screenings.
• Obtain and maintain security clearance and access to the AEDC local area network.

Required/Desired Skills, Experience, And Education

• U.S. citizenship.
• Completion of a pre-employment background check, breath alcohol test, and drug screening.
• Security clearance and access to the AEDC local area network.
• 8+ years of work-related experience.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering field.
• Experience in engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction/construction management (EPFC/CM) industry.
• Previous successful performance in a project engineering position.
• Ability to develop and sustain productive customer relationships.
• Flexible and adaptable approach, willingness to take on new work challenges, and adaptable to changing circumstances.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking, accountability, and adaptability skills.
• Ability to set and maintain high standards of performance with responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments and tasks.

• Proactive reporting of progress and accomplishments of assignments and apply necessary follow-up to monitor progress and results of project tasks and assignments.

• Basic computer and software skills, including word processing, email, spreadsheets, electronic presentations, and project management tools.
