Project Engineer

About the role

The C&S Facilities Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team in the Tampa office. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the growth of the company’s facilities practice.

Responsibilities

• Leading projects and managing technical engineering
• Performing mechanical engineering calculations, editing specifications, and preparing design drawings
• Assisting in developing project mechanical requirements, conducting field surveys, and developing construction documents
• Developing HVAC controls schematics, sequences of operation, and points lists
• Coordinating with other design disciplines in the delivery of mechanical designs
• Performing services during construction including responding to RFI's, reviewing submittals, and performing field observations
• Experience with Revit is highly desired

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of related experience including skills in mechanical design of HVAC systems
• A Professional Engineering license is highly desired but not required at this time

Qualifications

• Experience and/or education in mechanical design for buildings and facilities
• Emphasis on HVAC design (Commercial, Food Service, Industrial)
• Previous field experience is a plus

Skills

• Ability to perform Cooling/Heating calculations, Ventilation Calculations, ASHRAE 15 verification
• Familiarity with CHW VAV systems, VRF Systems, DOAS Equipment, Energy Recovery Equipment
• Familiarity with building codes and engineering design requirements
