Project Engineer
About the role
CCI Facility Contractors, LLC is expanding its workforce and is seeking a reliable and experienced Project Engineer to support project managers in coordinating and executing concrete and masonry restoration projects, handling scheduling, documentation, technical coordination, and on-site quality control. This role bridges the field and office, ensuring project efficiency, compliance with preservation standards, and smooth communication among all stakeholders. The Project Engineer supports Project Managers in the execution of federal construction projects, ensuring compliance with contract documents, federal specifications, and applicable codes.
Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers in the day-to-day management of projects.
- Aid in preparing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, and other documentation.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to gather technical data and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Conduct site visits to monitor work progress, quality assurance, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Track project materials, equipment, and deliveries to maintain efficient workflow.
- Aid in preparing estimates, take-offs, and proposals during the pre-construction phase.
- Maintain project documentation and files.
- Aid in developing and maintaining two week and project schedules.
- Document project updates, change orders, and issues that arise during construction.
- Facilitate communication between the field and office to maintain efficient project delivery.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of construction experience reviewing, providing analysis, managing, and resolving field coordination issues with project team members and participants.
- 5 years of experience coordinating the BIM efforts between customers and subcontractors.
- Strong technical, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and historical documents.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
- Professional Engineering (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) License is highly desirable.
