Job Summary

The Project Engineering position at Firestone Polymers, LLC focuses on designing, communicating, and implementing an operational plan for completing engineering-based projects. This position requires practical knowledge typically gained through advanced education and work experience, and involves working independently with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Leads projects of diverse scope
  • Supports continuous improvement/automation activities
  • Prepares project plans, project controls, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders on order, delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning of project equipment/services
  • Maintains progress and performance against the project plan
  • Resolves operational problems and minimizes delays
  • Identifies, develops, and gathers necessary resources to complete the project
  • Develops engineering standards, designs, and work specifications
  • Buils relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and a minimum of 2 years of related experience
  • Or an advanced degree without experience
  • Or equivalent work experience

Statistical process control is used throughout the operation.
