Project Engineer
Job Summary
The Project Engineering position at Firestone Polymers, LLC focuses on designing, communicating, and implementing an operational plan for completing engineering-based projects. This position requires practical knowledge typically gained through advanced education and work experience, and involves working independently with limited supervision.
Responsibilities
- Leads projects of diverse scope
- Supports continuous improvement/automation activities
- Prepares project plans, project controls, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates
- Collaborates with key stakeholders on order, delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning of project equipment/services
- Maintains progress and performance against the project plan
- Resolves operational problems and minimizes delays
- Identifies, develops, and gathers necessary resources to complete the project
- Develops engineering standards, designs, and work specifications
- Buils relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and a minimum of 2 years of related experience
- Or an advanced degree without experience
- Or equivalent work experience
