Key Responsibilities
- Aid in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction activities to support project schedules and budgets.
- Design, review, and implement temporary works and construction means and methods with a strong emphasis on safety.
- Inspect installed work, equipment, and materials; identify issues and coordinate corrective actions as needed.
- Provide on-site direction and technical support to foremen, crews, and subcontractors.
- Maintain oversight of project progress and prepare accurate daily reports, quantities, and documentation.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work complies with contract documents, plans, and specifications.
- Verify materials and workmanship meet project requirements and approved submittals.
- Enforce safety policies, OSHA regulations, and proper use of PPE on the job site.
- Support project cost tracking, schedule updates, and coordination with project stakeholders.
- Aid in communication between the field, project management, owners, and inspectors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Project Engineer, Field Engineer, or similar role in heavy civil or highway construction.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, equipment, and materials used in civil infrastructure projects.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and job-site safety practices.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work extended hours, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and occasional holidays, as required to meet project schedules.
