Project Engineer
About the role
Takes the technical lead on airfield lighting control system projects, planning, executing, and meeting strict deadlines. Designs control system drawings and HMI software to meet customer system requirements. Assists in developing bills of material for custom control system quotes after analyzing customer requirements.
Responsible for communicating and promoting company image to the airport lighting industry during system installation and training. Travels nationally or internationally to airport installations as required for project start-up, commissioning, testing, and training. Performs technical training classes for advanced products to internal and external customers. Responsible for becoming familiar with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) airport policies, procedures, and products. Travels 20% to 40% of the time.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Engineering Technology (EET), Computer Science (CS) or Computer Engineering Technology (CET) preferred or relevant experience in the airfield/aviation lighting industry.
- 2+ years related Project Engineering experience or the equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Electrical troubleshooting and controls experience is a plus.
- Fluent English (oral and written communication skills).
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.
- Must maintain an insurable driving record.
- Must pass any required BCI and FBI Background Check.
