Project Engineer 4 (contract)

About the role

Provides the Engineering leadership to a team representing multiple skill areas, which may include internal and external resources and customers. Works under minimal direction.

Responsibilities

• Develops statement of work (SOW) to satisfy research and development, ongoing and new business requirements.
• Works with customers and management to obtain approval.
• Responds to changes to SOW, assesses the impact and negotiates proposed changes to determine modifications to the deliverables, resources, costs and schedules.
• Leads project execution to complete the work statement.
• Identifies performance metrics.
• Plans, identifies, and coordinates resources required over the life of the project or program.
• Defines plans for risk mitigation and opportunity.
• Compares actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity and lessons learned.
• Provides technical, business and integration leadership for the development and execution of project or team plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
• 4+ years of related work experience
• 3+ years of experience leading team or managing cross functional projects in a formal and/or informal role
• 4+ years of experience with project management tools
• 4+ years of advanced Microsoft suite skills to include macro development, intermediate to advance knowledge of excel formulas, and pivot table manipulation
• 4+ years developing presentations and reporting to senior or executive leadership

Qualifications

• Knowledge and development experience with TABLEAU or PowerBI metrics
• 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Project Management Certification Project Management Professional Certificate
• Lever Six Sigma (green belt or black belt)
• Experience in manufacturing engineering role
• Experience with DOD Contracts EVM/CAM related experience
• Microsoft Project/Planner Experience

Pay

Pay Rate Range: 73 - 78 USD hourly
