Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate photonic module projects including design, development, prototyping, and transfer to production
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets and ensure milestones are met
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including optical, mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineers to ensure cohesive project execution
  • Identify technical risks and work proactively with stakeholders to address challenges and implement solutions
  • Manage supplier relationships and coordinate procurement of components critical to photonic modules
  • Track project progress, generate status reports, and communicate updates to management and stakeholders
  • Facilitate design reviews, technical discussions, and problem-solving sessions
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize project execution and module performance

Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related technical field
  • Typically 5+ years of engineering or project management experience within photonics, optoelectronics, or related industries
  • Strong understanding of photonic module technologies, including integration of optical, mechanical, and electrical components
  • Proven experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and disciplines
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and supply chain considerations for photonic devices
  • Experience with risk assessment and mitigation in project environments
