Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate photonic module projects including design, development, prototyping, and transfer to production
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets and ensure milestones are met
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including optical, mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineers to ensure cohesive project execution
- Identify technical risks and work proactively with stakeholders to address challenges and implement solutions
- Manage supplier relationships and coordinate procurement of components critical to photonic modules
- Track project progress, generate status reports, and communicate updates to management and stakeholders
- Facilitate design reviews, technical discussions, and problem-solving sessions
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize project execution and module performance
Requirements
- BS or MS degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related technical field
- Typically 5+ years of engineering or project management experience within photonics, optoelectronics, or related industries
- Strong understanding of photonic module technologies, including integration of optical, mechanical, and electrical components
- Proven experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and disciplines
- Demonstrated ability to manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and supply chain considerations for photonic devices
- Experience with risk assessment and mitigation in project environments
