Project Engineer 1 Pompano Beach - Fall 2025/Spring 2026 College Grads
Position Overview
The Project Engineer is a critical component of the project team that works together to manage a construction project.
Essential Duties And Key Responsibilities
- Cook up material procurement and delivery
- Make project schedules
- Check the suitability of shop drawings and submittals
- Quote/qualify subcontractor requests for change orders
- Track status of change orders
- Track status of Requests for Information
- Collect, verify, and distribute as-builts
- Maintain project close-out documents
- Help with field supervision
- Read blueprints
- Do quantity take-offs
- Solicit sub-contractors
- Write and read correspondence
- Ensure quality control
- Coordinate with sub-contractors
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Have knowledge of technology related to construction, such as Blue Beam, Revit, and Procore
- Strong written and oral communication skills are required
- Experience with computer applications for spreadsheets, word processing and scheduling is preferred
- Have a 4-year degree in Engineering, Construction, Architecture or Business
- Prior internship experience is a plus
