Project Director - Hunt South - Sports Construction
About the role
We are seeking a seasoned Project Director to lead the end-to-end delivery of complex, large-scale sports stadium and arena projects as the General Contractor in the South Region of the US.
Responsibilities
- Lead full lifecycle delivery (feasibility, preconstruction, procurement, GMP development, construction, commissioning, closeout).
- Establish and manage project budget, schedule, and risk controls to meet or exceed commercial targets.
- Oversee procurement strategy, solicitations, bid leveling, trade partner selection, and contract negotiations.
- Direct field operations: work sequencing, logistics, site safety (OSHA compliance), quality assurance/quality control, and productivity.
- Monitor financial performance.
- Partner with owners, architects/engineers, owner’s reps, code officials, utilities, and community stakeholders to maintain alignment and approvals.
- Interact with VDC/BIM.
- Champion Safety-First culture.
- Ensure permitting, inspections, TCO/CO milestones, commissioning, performance testing, and turnover.
Requirements
- Minimum Requirements: BS Engineering or Construction Management or related curriculum and 10 years of relevant construction experience or AA/AS 12 years of relevant experience or HS/GED and 14 years of relevant experience all including a minimum of 2 years of leadership.
- Preferred Qualifications: Construction experience in the field of sports, arenas, stadium, etc. Experience with large entertainment clients.
- Credentials: OSHA 30, PMP, DBIA, LEED AP , or Professional Engineer license. Knowledge of large-scale commissioning, technology/infrastructure integration (AV, DAS, broadcast), and public-private development. CMAR delivery experience and established trade partner relationships. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Proficiency with CMIC, Microsoft Project or other CM software.

Pay
$130,300.15 - $241,055.29 per year
Schedule
This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization now or in the future. Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test. This position is not hybrid nor remote. This position may include relocation.
