Project Director - Bismarck, ND

Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Director of Outside Plant, the Project Director leads assigned projects. Responsibilities include budget management, timeline adherence, customer expectation fulfillment, team management, and customer interfacing.

What You Will Be Doing

• Review and understand project budgets, schedules, and requirements.
• Create and execute project work plans, schedules, and control budgets.
• Award individual duties to the project management team and staff.
• Manage project operational aspects to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
• Communicate progress updates, address customer questions, and manage requested changes to project plans.
• Make decisions on project scope and delivery, acting as a technical expert.
• Communicate project requirements and specifications to the project staff.
• Represent Metronet in customer interactions.
• Maintain compliance with market agreements, permits, and authorizations.
• Review and approve job cost accounting reports.
• Maintain regular communication with the SVP of Outside Plant and other management.
• Promote company objectives with other organizations.

What You Need For This Position

• BS/BA degree in construction management, electrical engineering, or civil engineering preferred.
• Equivalent experience will be considered.
• Strong knowledge of Telecom construction and engineering, project budget creation and management, project scheduling and tracking, project finance, cost reporting, and field office operations.
• Strong computer skills, emphasizing Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Project.
• Familiarity with mapping, GIS, and CADD drafting programs.
• Ability to work with Google Earth KMZ's and KML's.
• Ability to prepare project estimates, budgets, and schedules.
• Comprehension of complex instructions and execution of strategic strategies.

Salary

$100,000 - $150,000 based on experience

Qualifications
