Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain account plans for specified general contractors.
- Provide market feedback to company leadership, including weekly pipeline and opportunity management reports for strategic projects.
- Maintain current records of the sales funnel in CRM.
- Provide monthly updates on the competitive landscape, including key competitors in mechanical construction.
- Foster collaboration between Sales and Mechanical Construction Operations.
- Maintain relationships with sales team members to identify and close opportunities with organic customers involving General Contractor partners.
- Maintain and develop key MEP firm relationships.
- Generate business leads, follow up on sales opportunities, and secure new business.
- Understand client needs and offer solutions; respond to RFPs and client inquiries.
- Collaborate with sales and leadership to secure, retain, and grow MSS business.
- Collaborate on sales goals, planning, and forecasting; maintain short- and long-term business development plans.
- Establish strong customer relationships by providing accurate and timely information on pricing, quotes, and concerns.
- Create and present informative presentations to potential clients.
- Lead the MSS response during client/project interviews.
- Support or lead the MSS preconstruction process for plan-spec, design-assist, and design-build opportunities, including attendance at OACs, system cluster meetings, and related project events.
- Responsible for managing the MSS project preconstruction team to achieve project goals and execute construction contracts.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to call, connect, and interact with potential customers.
- Professional and confident communication with management.
- Strong analytical and time-management skills.
- Demonstrated and proven sales results.
- Regular and supervisory probation period required, if applicable.
- Random drug testing required.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
- Must pass a background check and drug test.
- Physical demands: Constant sitting, walking short distances, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching above/below shoulder, handling office equipment, clear speaking and hearing, vision sufficient to read materials and computer screens, repetitive motions for computer use; occasional lifting of 25 lbs, frequent lifting/carrying/moving of 5–10 lbs.
