Job Overview

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified craft candidates for various trades (e.g., welders, pipefitters, electricians, heavy equipment operators).
  • Source candidates through various channels including online job boards, social media, industry networks, vocational schools, and local community outreach.
  • Conduct initial screenings and interviews to assess candidate qualifications, experience, and fit for specific project requirements.
  • Manage the applicant tracking system (ATS) to ensure accurate and up-to-date candidate records.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers and superintendents to understand staffing needs and project timelines.
  • Cook up and schedule interviews with hiring managers.
  • Extend job offers and manage the pre-employment process, including background checks and drug screenings.
  • Maintain strong relationships with candidates and provide a positive candidate experience.
  • Participate in career fairs and recruiting events as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.

Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or GED required; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in high-volume craft recruiting, preferably within the energy, industrial, or construction sectors.
  • Proven ability to source and attract skilled trades professionals.
  • Familiarity with various craft roles and their associated skill sets.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other recruiting software.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
