About the role
The Project Coordinator at TechServ is responsible for supervising a team of engineers and engineering technicians to ensure overall project success. The Project Coordinator will assign tasks, provide ongoing guidance and training, and ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the design process to ensure all designs comply with client specifications, industry standards (e.g., NESC), and other relevant regulations
- Serve as the first point of reference for technical inquiries from direct reports
- Provide constructive feedback to enhance productivity and quality of work
- Maintain an open line of communication with direct reports and project leadership
- Establish and maintain a culture of high-performance among direct reports
- Work with leaders and team members to facilitate/support internal change efforts to increase organizational effectiveness
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, customers, team, and company leadership
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively coach and mentor direct reports
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail, multitasking ability, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) to effectively manage and update reports
- Must currently be eligible to work in the United States of America
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a drug test, background check, and Motor Vehicle Record check
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a field of Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Industrial Technology, or similar
- Approximately 3 years of experience in the technical and infrastructure industry, especially Distribution Utility Design
- Knowledge of design, calculations, and design systems, including Joint Use and NESC safety codes (note: specific knowledge requirements will vary by department)
- OSHA 30 Certification
- Defensive Driving Training
- First Aid/AED/CPR Certification
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer are required
- Occasional standing, walking, and movement throughout the office to access equipment and collaborate with team members
- The ability to view a computer screen for extended periods, requiring good vision or corrective lenses if needed
- May occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 15 pounds
- Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Field Visits
- Work is performed outdoors with exposure to weather including and not limited to excessive heat, excessive cold, and extreme weather conditions
- Requires standing and walking continuously throughout the day
- Field visits may require walking on uneven terrain
- Frequent driving over long distances in varying weather conditions
- Able to lift, carry, and push up to 40+ pounds on a regular basis
