PROJECT COORDINATORConfidential Government Client – Greater Phoenix, Arizona AreaPosition Type: Contractor – 12-Month AssignmentReports To: Information Technology Services Program Management Office Our government client is located in the greater Phoenix metropolitan area, a dynamic and rapidly growing region known for its diverse communities, strong economy, and commitment to innovation. The government client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Coordinator for a 12-month contractor assignment within its Information Technology Services Program Management Office. This position will support project managers and cross-functional teams by coordinating daily project activities, maintaining schedules and documentation, and helping ensure milestones and deliverables remain on track. Although the position is locally remote, the selected contractor must reside within commuting distance of downtown Phoenix and be available for on-site meetings or activities as needed. Key ResponsibilitiesThe Project Coordinator will maintain and update project schedules, milestones, and deliverables; prepare status reports for leadership and stakeholders; and coordinate daily project activities to support timely completion. The position will also facilitate project meetings, document and distribute minutes, decisions, and action items, maintain organized and current project records, and track project risks and issues. The selected contractor will be expected to proactively identify concerns, communicate potential impacts, and help keep project teams aligned and moving forward.QualificationsExperience coordinating or supporting projects, preferably within a complex or multi-department environment.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to confidently lead meetings and present information to leadership and stakeholders.Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Microsoft Office, and other standard collaboration tools.Experience using project management methodologies and tools, such as Microsoft Project or Jira.Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience in technology, operations, business process improvement, project management, or a related field. Hourly Wage and Selection ProcessThe anticipated hourly wage for this position is $60 - $70/hr, as a W2, depending on qualifications and experience.
