Core Responsibilities
- Communicate with a variety of people, including other project coordinators, team members, clients and suppliers.
- Manage a large number of tasks and keep track of deadlines, budgets and other important information.
- Receive general direction from Project Manager, assigned management staff, and exercise general supervision over assigned staff.
- Coordinate and monitor the work of outside contractors, vendors.
- Identify and resolve issues, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
- Monitor project budget, negotiate with vendors for favorable pricing, and manage costs.
- Schedule workers’ shifts, inspect work sites, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Manage subcontractors, coordinate with architects and engineers, and ensure work is completed according to project specifications.
- Prepare estimates, recommend changes, and oversee the hiring of additional subcontractors as needed.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Serve as the point of contact between the construction team and other departments.
- Maintain up-to-date project documentation.
- Alert the Project Manager of potential issues or discrepancies in project progress and budget.
- Develop project timelines and milestones, working closely with the construction team.
- Schedule and coordinate on-site meetings, inspections, and deliveries.
- Prepare and distribute meeting minutes and other necessary correspondence.
- Procure materials and equipment within the defined budget and scope of work.
- Stay updated on industry news and developments, share relevant information with the construction team.
- Conduct research as needed to support informed decisions.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, escalating to the Project Manager as necessary.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Experience with EXCEL and WORD.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history.
- Negative drug test and willingness to submit to random drug tests.
- Acceptable criminal background check.
- Team player and positive attitude.
