About the role
The Christman Company is seeking a Lead Project Scheduler for the Oklahoma City region. This position involves working with the project management team to develop, monitor, and update project plans and schedules, supporting training programs, and maintaining a deep understanding of scheduling principles.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the development and implementation of acceptable planning and scheduling techniques and methods.
- Work with the project team to develop the project plan and translate it into the project schedule.
- Lead the development and analysis of project schedules, CPM software implementation, time impact and delay analysis, and review of periodic schedule updates.
- Prepare project time and cost claims.
- Assist in developing and recording project historical schedule information and "lessons learned" for future projects.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and teamwork skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
- Maintain a high level of technical expertise through continuing education and participation in professional activities.
- Participate in professional organizations dedicated to planning and scheduling.
- Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor, and perform well under project constraints and deadlines.
- Show strong computer skills with P6, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project).
- Willingness to test and implement new technologies as they become available.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- Five (5) years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in a project management or project planning role.
- Experience with advanced schedule tools and analytics, knowledge of pull planning, and Earned Value Management.
- Experience with MS Excel, MS Project, and/or Primavera P6.
- Experience in preconstruction planning and schedule optimization, portfolio analytics and reporting.
- A passion and commitment to building strong partnerships to support project goals.
- Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.
