Project Controls Specialist
Job Summary
The Project Controls Specialist I supports engineering projects throughout the project lifecycle, including project setup, contract administration, planning and scheduling, cost analysis, billing, subcontract coordination, and project monitoring. This role assists with tracking project performance, labor hours, productivity metrics, schedules, costs, and risk analysis while providing reporting support to project managers and leadership.
Contract Support
- Work with project leads for project setup.
- Data entry of funding modifications and value.
- Works with contracting officers as needed for contract admin support.
- Charge code management.
- Contract modification coordination.
- Subcontract creation/management.
Administrative Support
- Affording to phones or reception as needed.
- Planning meetings and taking detailed minutes.
- Other administrative support to managers, other employees, and office visitors by handling a variety of tasks to ensure that all interactions between the organization and others are positive and productive.

Qualifications And Experience
- Associates of Arts (AA) Degree in Business, Finance or similar business trade or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2-4 years of experience.
- Basic understanding of the contract lifecycle preferred but not required.
- Should have good experience with MS Excel.
- Must be proficient in other MS Office products, Acrobat, e-mail applications.
- Experience in using Deltek Vantagepoint is a plus.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Valid/Unrestricted FL driver license.
- Work Authorization/Security Clearance: Must be a US Citizen for Security Clearance requirements. Ability to obtain and maintain a clearance from the Defense Security Service and other Federal Government Agencies.
Compensation & Benefits
- The expected base salary range for this role is $60,000 - $65,000 USD per year.
- Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
