Project Controls Specialist

About the role

RINA is recruiting for a Project Controls Specialist to join its office in Boston, MA or Chicago/Lisle, IL within the Civil Engineering Division. The role focuses on transit and transportation related projects, providing CPM scheduling, cost control, and Earned Value Management services on major projects in various stages of planning, design, construction, and closeout utilizing best practices for construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cost and resource loaded CPM Schedules
• Participate in maintaining and developing time-phased budgets, work schedules, work breakdown structures, and cost account plans
• Provide project earned value management reporting and forecasting
• Operate software applications based on business/system requirements; primary focus on Microsoft Office and Oracle Primavera P6
• Interface with project’s technical staff, financial staff, project managers, and functional managers on scheduling, cost estimating, risk, and earned value analysis
• Gather, validate, perform, analyze, and report on project monthly performance data
• Support change management efforts by analyzing and incorporating changes to the schedule and PMB in a timely manner
• Support the project team in developing, implementing, and maintaining project controls systems
• Participate in meetings involving schedule development and maintenance and assignment of resources
