This role is an approximately 24-month assignment supporting multiple energy storage and solar construction project teams. Site visits which include field observations of project progress, interaction with vendor project staff, change order impact evaluations, and support of regular project status updates will be required.

About the Role

The applicant shall demonstrate Subject Matter Expertise in field scheduling for large construction projects and use of Primavera (P6). This role provides day-to-day analysis and evaluation of data associated with portfolios, programs, and projects. The position serves as an expert practitioner in project controls (cost, contract, WBS, schedule, resource, etc.) and performs complex aspects of individual project estimating, scheduling, change documentation, and cost control while communicating program or portfolio status.

The role provides mature technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) support, applying advanced project controls principles to establish and maintain rigorous performance standards. It ensures project control data collection tools, analysis, communication, and reporting systems are accurate and functioning according to Enterprise policies and Project Management Center of Excellence (PMCoE) requirements. The position contributes to the analysis of project cost, forecasts, contracts, schedules, and resources.

Responsibilities

  • On-site field experience observing project progress and tracking performance via schedule updates
  • Review and analysis of project schedules in P6, including basis and qualifications
  • Incorporate implementation details into the schedule once implementation contracts are awarded
  • Define and analyze the project schedule baseline in P6
  • Develop a site integrated schedule in P6, including other site work activities that either impact or are impacted by the project
  • Work with contract vendors to gather and verify updated schedules for projects
  • Maintain and update the site integrated schedule
  • Support development of recovery plans and project changes, as necessary
  • Review Project Change Requests for impact to schedule
  • Support project scheduling required for Funding submittals
  • Support project reporting (Project Status Reports, etc.) with the project team
  • Schedule adherence reporting and variance analysis
  • Develop and generate periodic project controls communications and routine analytics
  • Data collection, verification, validation, and analysis to support project controls communications
  • Distribute and archive project controls reports as appropriate
  • Provide presentation-quality reports and communications to project and management teams

Requirements

  • Graduation from a four-year college or university in business, finance, project management, engineering, technical, or equivalent field
  • Minimum of 9 years of project controls experience
  • Minimum of 11 years of project controls experience in lieu of a degree
  • Demonstrated expertise in using Primavera (P6)
