About the role
Sedron Technologies is seeking a Project Controls Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is critical to the successful delivery of capital projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project schedules using appropriate project management tools.
- Collaborate with project teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Establish and manage project budgets, ensuring effective cost control measures are in place.
- Analyze project financial performance and prepare regular reports on budget status.
- Prepare and maintain accurate forecasts of project costs, timelines, and resource needs.
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor risk factors throughout the project lifecycle and adjust plans accordingly.
- Implement and manage change control processes to assess the impact of changes on project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Generate regular project performance reports, including earned value analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Lead and mentor the project controls team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Act as the primary point of contact for project controls-related inquiries.
- Present project control findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Continuously evaluate and improve project controls processes and tools for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure smooth daily operations, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple deadlines.
- Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.
- Demonstrate passion and excitement for solving difficult yet exciting tasks.
- Arrive to work on time and maintain good attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- 8+ years of experience in project controls for capital projects, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP), or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and cost management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.

Education/Experience

Additional Information
- Compensation range for this role is between $120,000 - $175,000
- The range provided is Sedron’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
- Discretionary bonus
- Travel approximately 25% of the time
- Flexibility to work outside standard hours as needed to meet project deadlines
