We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to join our dynamic team! The ideal candidate will have a solid background in project management of utility‑scale solar and/or battery storage projects and strong people‑management experience.

Established in 2014, Gridworks is a leading EPC contractor for utility‑scale solar and battery storage projects. Primarily operating across the Southwest, we are expanding into other regions. With 2 GW of solar and battery energy storage projects we are well positioned for continued success in the rapidly growing clean energy sector.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support project management teams with pre‑construction planning and quantity takeoffs.
• Create and manage project budgets.
• Handle change management and claims.
• Perform cost analysis and forecasting.
• Provide progress updates and performance analysis using earned‑value management concepts.
• Meet project‑specific and company‑wide reporting requirements.
• Conduct schedule performance and time‑impact analysis.
• Compile, review, and analyze project‑controls data; interface with upper management and project teams on results; provide innovative solutions to scheduling and cost performance.
• Train project management in the use of other Project Controls processes, tools, and reporting.
• Prepare project progress billings.
• Assist with proposal budget reviews and cash flows.
• Develop processes and procedures as assigned.
• May require some travel to project sites.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
• 5+ years of experience in project controls, cost, scheduling & planning, or related work.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage simultaneous tasks/assignments.
• Exceptional team‑building skills and ability to collaborate across the company.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage complex assignments and multiple projects.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience with CMiC (preferred).
• Experience with Procore (preferred).
• Experience with Power‑BI (preferred).
• Experience with Primavera P6 Professional (preferred).
