About the role
A Project Controls Manager is needed to manage large/complex projects. Key responsibilities include developing commercial strategies, leading project controls functions, conducting root cause analysis, and overseeing budgeting and incentive programs.
Responsibilities
- Develops and leads project controls functions on large/complex projects.
- Participates in negotiations and resolves employee performance issues.
- Conducts root cause analysis and drafts comprehensive project procedures.
- Manages scope control and change management processes.
- Ensures accurate project schedules and assists in budgeting.
- Reviews and analyzes project program data and produces accurate progress/performance reports.
- Tracks subcontractor funding and ensures alignment with work authorization and expenditures.
- Monitors change order status and provides updates to the Project Management team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in large-scale programs or multi-disciplinary teams preferred.
- Proven knowledge of scope control and change management.
- Expert understanding of schedule, critical path analysis, resource loading, and leveling.
- Ability to multi-task and assess competing competencies.
Qualifications
- BA/BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 10+ years of related experience.
Skills
- Strong leadership and organizational management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
