About the Role

Glass Roots Construction (GRC) is seeking a specialized Project Controls Coordinator to strengthen how we plan, schedule, forecast, and manage projects across the region. Working directly with Market Managers, QA/QC teams, Project Managers, and subcontractors, this role acts as the technical engine for project scheduling and baseline governance. This is a specialized project controls position designed to support operational leaders and Project Managers, not replace them. The Project Controls Coordinator owns schedule integrity and analytical forecasting, while Project Managers remain accountable for overall project direction, budgets, contracts, and field operations.

Responsibilities

  • Primavera P6 Schedule Management: Build, maintain, update, and resource-load integrated master schedules utilizing Primavera P6.
  • Schedule Governance & Analysis: Perform critical path analysis, schedule recovery modeling, and variance reporting to support PM decision-making.
  • Field Production Tracking: Track and verify field production across multiple projects and markets to feed real-time data into the master schedule.
  • Baseline Controls: Establish and monitor schedule baselines, ensuring any updates or resets follow strict PM/Director approval workflows.
  • Three-Week Look-Ahead Scheduling: Support Project Managers in developing and maintaining three-week look-ahead schedules aligned with the integrated master schedule.
  • Schedule & Delay Analysis: Perform schedule variance, float, delay/time-impact, and change-order schedule analysis; develop recovery scenarios for leadership review.
  • Portfolio Reporting: Maintain portfolio dashboards, milestone reporting, manpower/resource forecasts, and weekly executive schedule reports.
  • Schedule Quality & Standards: Support standardized P6 templates, schedule quality audits, revision control, baseline archiving, and schedule narratives.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, baseline plans, and executive portfolio reports.
  • Milestone & Project Controls Integration: Coordinate procurement, engineering, permitting, subcontractor, and field-production milestones within project controls systems.

Requirements

  • Primavera P6 Expertise (MUST-HAVE): Proven, hands-on experience developing, updating, and managing complex schedules in Primavera P6.
  • Project Controls Experience: Verifiable track record in project controls, critical path methodology, resource loading, and schedule forecasting.
  • Technical & Construction Acumen: Strong ability to read, interpret, and translate construction documents into P6 schedule logic.
  • Data & Analytical Proficiency: Advanced skills in data management, schedule variance analysis, and reporting tools.
  • WBS & Logic Development: Demonstrated ability to create Work Breakdown Structures, project calendars, logic-driven schedules, and schedule narratives.
  • Reporting & Forecasting: Experience producing executive schedule reports, labor/resource forecasts, milestone reports, and schedule-performance analytics.
  • Software Tools: Proficient with Email, MS Office Suite (advanced Excel required), G Suite (Sheets, Slides, etc.), and Google Earth.
  • Travel: Ability to travel 5–10% as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with GIS mapping software.
  • Experience with Zoho, database management, and advanced project controls tools.
  • In-depth understanding of basic utility construction processes and terminology.
  • Strong written, verbal, and stakeholder communication skills.

Pay

$80,000–$90,000 per year, based on experience, plus a 10% bonus.

Schedule

  • Day Shift: Monday–Friday
  • Night Shift: Sunday–Thursday

Travel requirements: 5–10%
