Project Controller - Traveler

Responsibilities

• Trains and supports project teams in all project accounting procedures
• Supervises and trains direct reports on processes, procedures, and completion of daily tasks; manages workload and performance of direct reports, ensuring alignment with overall company standards
• Ensures accuracy and completion of project forecast
• Aids in the financial closing process including development of risk and opportunity analysis
• Works and acts as an Independent Accountant during project forecast meetings to mitigate financial risk
• Evaluates change management for inconsistencies and risk impacts on projects
• Maintains oversight of key indicators for managing and analyzing risk projects while keeping Accounting Manager and/or Business Controller informed on any noted concerns
• Aids in the monthly Work in Process (WIP)
• Fosters a positive and inclusive work environment to motivate and engage team members
• Aids in communicating company and department strategy to direct reports

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• 8-10 years of experience project accounting experience on commercial construction projects valued at 100M or larger
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word

Skills & Abilities

• Ability to learn construction management and payment management software

Pay

Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.
