Project / Construction Management Internship - Summer 2026 (Multiple Locations)
About the role
The Internship Program at Cupertino Electric, Inc. is a 10-to-12-week program designed to expose undergraduate and post-graduate students to various aspects of CEI’s core markets: Commercial, Data Center, and Energy & Renewables. The program offers students unique opportunities to contribute to real-world projects and make meaningful industry connections.
Responsibilities
- Create a bid strategy, get quotations, and write proposal letters.
- Negotiate contract terms, create an original budget and schedule.
- Create a plan with the production team to address efficiency, logistics, and materials.
- Organize all documents and drawings, select subcontractors, and hold a job start meeting.
- Manage materials, submittals, and change orders.
- Maintain activity logs, manage materials, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Write documents including RFI’s and notice letters.
- Monitor project progress, including cost and safety.
- Manage closeout documents, commission equipment, and return excess material.
Requirements

Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Current student studying Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or similar preferred.
- Licensure/Certifications: None required.
- Experience: 0 years of experience required.
