About the role
The Project Business Analyst & Epic Implementation Coordinator serves as a vital operational bridge between the clinical and administrative staff at Student Health Services and Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), and the central technical IT teams. The incumbent will focus on the core phases of the Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) system implementation, specifically bounding all deliverables to the unique workflows, automated systems design, and clinical processes of student wellness operations.
Responsibilities
- Focuses on the core phases of the Epic EHR system implementation
- Bounding all deliverables to the unique workflows, automated systems design, and clinical processes of student wellness operations
- Aids in defining basic system scopes
- Maps current and future-state workflows
- Authors basic RFPs for ancillary clinic technology
Requirements
- Experience: 0 - 1 years of related experience
- Knowledge: Foundational knowledge of business analysis concepts, core IT principles, and the standard software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Preferred Qualifications: Basic understanding of healthcare operations, medical/counseling terminology, or the privacy regulations surrounding student health data (such as HIPAA or FERPA)
- Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to translate complex, everyday clinical tasks into clear, structured technical documentation; Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills to successfully identify operational bottlenecks
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Management Information Systems (MIS), Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field
- Knowledge: Knowledge of UCR SHS and CAPS operations and IT systems
Benefits
The full salary range for the Project Business Analyst & Epic Implementation Coordinator is $53,100 - $89,700 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $60,000 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
