Project Bridge Engineer

About the role

Pennoni is seeking Project Bridge Engineers with experience in bridge design, rehabilitation, and load rating projects. The ideal candidate will have a focus on bridge design and will mentor and develop junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Performing bridge design as part of multi-disciplinary projects
• Mentoring and developing junior staff
• Providing technical oversight
• Overseeing multiple concurrent projects and/or tasks including design and bridge inspections
• Generating proposals including the development of scopes of work and man-hour estimates
• Developing reports, specifications, and technical documents

Requirements

• Essential Software Tools: AutoCAD, BIM, Microstation, OBU and OpenRoads
• Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (focus on Structural Engineering)
• Preferred Education: Master's Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural Engineering
• Minimum Years of Work Experience: 5-10
• Licenses Required: PE

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (focus on Structural Engineering)
• Master's Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural Engineering
• Software Tools: AutoCAD, BIM, Microstation, OBU and OpenRoads
• Experience: Bridge Design, Rehabilitation, Load Rating Projects
• Software Knowledge: Structural Analysis and Design Software (SAP, STAAD, LEAP Bridge, LEAP Concrete, AASHTOWare BrR, BRASS, etc…)
• Leadership Qualities: Leadership qualities necessary to lead project related tasks and mentor entry level engineers
• Technical Writing: Producing high quality technical writing for use in bridge inspection reports, specifications, studies, and other engineering documents
• Multiple Assignments: Ability to work on multiple concurrent assignments while serving multiple roles within a team environment
