Key Responsibilities
- Lead production and QC of full construction document sets for mid-rise and high-rise office and multifamily residential projects.
- Serve as technical lead on shell building and core-and-shell projects, including envelope systems, structural interfaces, and building-code compliance.
- Develop and maintain complex Revit models to firm BIM standards; establish project templates, families, and workflows.
- Cookordinate structural, MEP, civil, and facade consultants; integrate drawings into Revit models and resolve conflicts.
- Lead construction administration, including site observations, RFI responses, submittal and shop drawing reviews, and clarification bulletins.
- Mentor junior staff and job captains, providing technical direction and quality reviews.
- Collaborate with project managers and principals on scheduling, fee management, and client communications.
- Navigate California municipal permitting and plan check processes, including Title-24, DSA, and local building departments.
- Maintain organized project records, BIM execution plans, and documentation across all project phases.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in an architectural practice, with demonstrated leadership on project delivery.
- Proven track record producing construction documents for mid-rise and high-rise office and multifamily residential buildings.
- Significant experience with shell building and core-and-shell project typologies.
- Expert-level Revit proficiency - the go-to resource for BIM problem-solving, family creation, and model management.
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and coordination tools (Navisworks, BIM 360/ACC, or similar).
- Thorough understanding of California Building Code, ADA, Title-24, and zoning applicable to mid-rise and high-rise construction.
- Strong communication and coordination skills with consultants, contractors, and clients.
- Must be authorized to work in the US. We are not able to sponsor work visas.
Nice to Have
- California architectural licensure (preferred).
- LEED AP or experience with sustainable design and green building certifications.
- Familiarity with Silicon Valley developer and corporate campus project environments.
- Experience with high-rise post-tensioned concrete or structural steel construction detailing.
