About the role

We are looking for a Project Architect to join our team and contribute to a wide range of projects. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work on both new construction and existing building investigations, with a focus on enhancing building enclosure performance.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field investigations and assessments of building enclosures, including roofs, walls, fenestration, and foundations.
  • Analyze and interpret data to identify performance issues and potential solutions.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation, including repair recommendations and cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to develop and implement repair strategies.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, codes, and regulations related to building performance and sustainability.
  • Assist in the development of project scopes, budgets, and timelines.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
  • Liaise with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and expectations.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field.
  • Professional registration as an Architect (RA) or the ability to obtain registration within a specified timeframe.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural practice, with a focus on building performance and investigations.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations related to building enclosures.
  • Proficiency in architectural software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for field work as required.
  • Strong organizational skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
