About the role
STV, Inc. is seeking a Project Architect with 10+ years of experience for their Building Group based in Douglassville or Philadelphia, PA. STV specializes in architectural buildings and facilities, offering opportunities for advancement and innovative design.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architectural/engineering teams in preparing documents for new construction and renovations.
- Prepare and/or supervise architectural drawings, conducting code analysis, material selections, and coordination with specifications writers.
- Perform site and construction inspections, prepare design reports, and conduct construction administration including shop drawing reviews, RFI responses, and supervision of record documents.
- Coordinate with other disciplines and assist in proposal preparation.
- Make sound decisions and work independently, collaborating with upper-level design architects.
Requirements
- A Professional Degree in Architecture with 10-12 years of licensed experience.
- Experience with SCIF and ICD 705 projects is a strong plus.
- Proficiency with BIM/Revit, Blue Beam, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Photoshop, Sketchup, Enscape, and Vray rendering skills are a plus.
- Excellent design and presentation skills, both verbal and visual.
- Strong knowledge for generating technical details that are constructible.
- Self-starter with a passion for problem-solving and understanding the importance of teamwork and client needs.
- US Citizenship required for Federal work.
Essential Duties
- Determine technical approach and design criteria for projects.
- Lead and coach junior architectural staff.
- Perform independent investigations, studies, and architectural analyses.
- Develop design details, plans, and specifications.
- Contribute new designs or techniques of material significance to the solution of important problems.
- Ensure conformance with STV and client standards, established architectural practices, applicable codes, and technical adequacy of design and construction.
- Review shop drawings and Requests for Information.
