About the role

The Project Architect supports and leads architects through the design of small to mid-sized projects, including directing, supervising, and mentoring staff towards the delivery of complete and accurate design documents that meet projects milestones and goals within designated timeframes.

Responsibilities

  • Works in tandem with Client, Architects, Design Project Manager, Designers, Development, Construction and Consultants.
  • Sets up and leads the design process of small to mid-size projects.
  • Creates complete and thorough set of design documents to meet project goals, milestones and schedules.
  • Leads detailing effort for a complete set of construction documents and construction phase.
  • Coordinates project design schedules.
  • Resolves unusual or complex technical issues.
  • Researches and leads code reviews and regulatory approval process.
  • Manages and coordinates Ryan's QA/QC process and project specifications.
  • Identifies and communicates deviations in project.
  • Establishes and pursues annual goals based on personal, professional and company growth.
  • Ensures project goals of design excellence, execution and sustainability.
  • Directs, supervises and mentors junior staff.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience.
  • A bachelor's (or master's) degree in architecture and Architectural licensure is required.
  • Strong knowledge of Revit, Building Codes, Documentation, and Constructability.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bluebeam knowledge preferred.
  • Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP) and/or WELL Accredited Professional (WELL AP) Certification(s) preferred.

Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in project management and design.
  • Knowledge of construction phases and documentation.

Skills

  • Revit proficiency.

  • Documentation expertise.
  • Constructability understanding.
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
  • Bluebeam knowledge.

Pay

The base salary may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
