Project Architect

We are hiring in our Architectural division at our Syracuse, NY office. The division provides comprehensive planning and design services for markets including State Corrections, Healthcare, K-12 and Higher Education, Residential, Commercial, and Municipal.

About the role

The Project Architect works with large project teams, including outside subconsultants, to ensure all aspects of the project are met and completed. This position delegates work to Project Technicians, coordinates with other disciplines, and assists the Project Manager with client meetings, design team meetings, and construction administration. The role requires minimal guidance and the ability to lead, communicate, coordinate, and motivate while contributing to a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate project teams, including subconsultants
• Delegate tasks to Project Technicians
• Assist Project Manager with client and design team meetings
• Support construction administration activities
• Ensure compliance with all project requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture
• 6-10+ years of experience in architecture
• Thorough knowledge of New York State building codes
• Strong technical design and construction document skills
• Well-developed project design and planning skills
• Excellent graphic presentation skills

Qualifications

• Registered Architect in New York (desirable but not required)
• Prior experience with NYS OGS and/or other government agencies (desirable but not required)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project)

Pay

Salary range: $70,000 – $90,000 per year. The specific salary offered may vary based on experience, education, and work location.
