Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Ensures the overall design intent of the project is incorporated into detailed documentation.
  • Technical Resolution: Resolves and coordinates technical issues within a defined portion of a project.
  • Communication: Communicates with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure all information is incorporated into project requirements.
  • Supervision: Supervises the preparation of technical drawings by less experienced staff.
  • Project Management: Coordinates with the Project Manager and Project Designer for project financial performance and team communication.
  • Construction Phase Services: Oversees the implementation of Construction Phase Services in collaboration with the PM.
  • Quality Assurance: Secures QA reviews and implements comments on project documents.
  • Client Interface: Regularly communicates with client representatives to verify design requirements, specifications, and progress reviews.
  • Teamwork: Assists in planning and conducting work, making minor adaptations and modifications to complete working drawing sets.
  • Business Development: Participates in business development meetings to target project, client, or market opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture or equivalent in education or experience required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years’ design experience.
  • Licensed Architect with current registration in your region required, if licensure is offered in your region.
  • NCARB registration preferred.
  • LEED accreditation or Green Associate preferred.

Skills

  • Knowledge of BIM and ability to organize data into files.
  • Ability to develop specifications and coordinate drawings.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience with integrated sustainable design solutions.
