Responsibilities
- Leadership: Ensures the overall design intent of the project is incorporated into detailed documentation.
- Technical Resolution: Resolves and coordinates technical issues within a defined portion of a project.
- Communication: Communicates with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure all information is incorporated into project requirements.
- Supervision: Supervises the preparation of technical drawings by less experienced staff.
- Project Management: Coordinates with the Project Manager and Project Designer for project financial performance and team communication.
- Construction Phase Services: Oversees the implementation of Construction Phase Services in collaboration with the PM.
- Quality Assurance: Secures QA reviews and implements comments on project documents.
- Client Interface: Regularly communicates with client representatives to verify design requirements, specifications, and progress reviews.
- Teamwork: Assists in planning and conducting work, making minor adaptations and modifications to complete working drawing sets.
- Business Development: Participates in business development meetings to target project, client, or market opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture or equivalent in education or experience required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years’ design experience.
- Licensed Architect with current registration in your region required, if licensure is offered in your region.
- NCARB registration preferred.
- LEED accreditation or Green Associate preferred.
Skills
- Knowledge of BIM and ability to organize data into files.
- Ability to develop specifications and coordinate drawings.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Experience with integrated sustainable design solutions.
