About the role
The Project Architect at Cedar is responsible for managing the day-to-day execution of residential projects, including scheduling, staffing, and project execution. They will also perform zoning and building code analysis, produce and oversee project models, presentations, and documentation, curate specifications, product selections, and details, plan and maintain project schedules, and serve as the primary client contact and coordinator.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day execution of two to three residential projects concurrently
- Perform Zoning and Building Code analysis
- Produce and oversee project models, presentations, and documentation through key milestones
- Curate specifications, product selections, and details
- Contribute to small project teams (2-3 designers) from early planning through construction administration
- Plan and maintain project schedules and staffing
- Serve as primary client contact and coordinator for schedules, milestones, and delivery
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in an architectural office. Licensed professionals are preferred
- 1+ years in a project architect or project coordination role, running the day-to-day of architectural projects
- 2+ years in the residential architecture sector is required. Multi-family experience preferred
- Education: 5-year BArch or MArch degree (preferred)
