An internationally recognized architecture and design firm is seeking a Project Architect/Project Manager with expertise in Revit, focusing on healthcare and civic projects. This role requires strong renovation experience and project management skills for large-scale projects, with 70% of work centered on large California-based healthcare projects and 30% on smaller Seattle-based assisted living facility projects.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Project Manager and Project Architect, overseeing scope, schedule, and budget.
- Lead design development and documentation efforts using Revit across all project phases.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, and internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Manage project communication and maintain strong client relationships.
- Oversee production of construction documents and ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
- Contribute to design vision while balancing technical, functional, and budgetary requirements.
- Support and mentor junior staff, providing guidance on design and documentation standards.
- Participate in project meetings, presentations, and stakeholder coordination.
Requirements
- 4-8+ years of experience with Revit-based construction document production.
- Advanced Revit proficiency (non-negotiable requirement).
- Complex project management experience, with a preference for healthcare, correctional, civic, or hospitality projects.
- Experience working on large, multi-year timeline projects.
- Familiarity with California and/or Washington building codes and permitting processes.
- Self-starter capable of running projects with minimal oversight.
- Willingness to contribute to all phases of a project (not just design).
Disqualifiers
- Lack of advanced Revit proficiency (AutoCAD experience alone is insufficient).
- Experience limited to big-box retail or single-family residential projects.
Benefits
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
- Critical illness, accident, and hospital insurance.
- 401(k) retirement plan with pre-tax and Roth post-tax contribution options.
- Life insurance (voluntary life and AD&D for employees and dependents).
- Short- and long-term disability coverage.
- Health Spending Account (HSA).
- Transportation benefits.
- Employee Assistance Program.
- Paid time off (PTO, vacation, or sick leave).
Pay
$43.00 - $67.00 per hour (approximately $90,000 - $140,000 annually), depending on Revit proficiency, portfolio strength, tenure, relevant industry experience, and certifications.
Schedule
- Monday - Friday, with every last Friday of the month off.
- Hybrid schedule: Tuesday and Wednesday on-site in Seattle; Monday, Thursday, and Friday remote.
About the Firm
- Employee-owned firm with a collaborative culture, fostering strong partnerships with clients, consultants, and builders.
- Over 250 design awards, including more than 40 from the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
- Independent, self-starter culture with minimal micromanagement.
- Competitive, top-of-market compensation.
