Overview
Our client, a dynamic engineering and design firm, is seeking a Project Architect with a minimum of eight years of experience to support building design from concept through construction. This role is responsible for preparing building designs, presentations, permit and construction documents, and supporting construction administration. The Project Architect will coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams, work with consultants and clients, and ensure compliance with applicable building codes. The ideal candidate is a licensed Arizona Architect, proficient in Revit, highly organized, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. This position is located in Phoenix, AZ.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with a close-knit team where individual contributions are highly valued
- Prepare effective building designs and high-quality presentation materials
- Cook up with a multidisciplinary design team, including designers and engineers, to develop plans and construction documents for a wide range of projects
- Produce building renderings, space planning layouts, and design documentation
- Perform code reviews and building envelope reviews
- Complete drafting and detailing tasks using industry-standard software
- Support permit processing and construction administration activities
- With demonstrated experience, work directly with clients and take on expanded responsibilities within the firm
- Participate in company culture initiatives, including employee celebrations, volunteer opportunities, team-building activities, and social events
Requirements
- Active licensure and registration as an Architect in the state of Arizona
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field
- 8-15 years of relevant experience preparing building construction documents, permits, and construction administration
- Extensive experience with industrial building design
- Strong working knowledge of building codes and standards, including IBC, IECC/ASHRAE, and NFPA
- Proficiency in Revit and familiarity with AutoCAD
- Experience coordinating with consultants and clients
- Ability to prioritize and successfully manage multiple assignments across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Reside in or near the Phoenix, AZ area
