About The Role Title: Project Archaeologist/Senior Project Archaeologist Salary: £28,038- £28,432 per annum (dependant on experience) Hours of Work: 37 hours per week Location: York Contract: Permanent York Archaeology delivers commercial archaeological services from offices at York, Sheffield and Nottingham. The organisation provides world-famous heritage attractions, including excavation, survey, consultancy, expert conservation services, research, and an unmatched commitment to dissemination, engagement, and public benefit. We require additional field staff (Project Archaeologists and Senior Project Archaeologists) operating from our York office to deliver a wide range of archaeological projects, including sites of prehistoric, Roman, and medieval date, both rural and urban. Applicants will be expected to work locally within the region and farther afield; accommodation, transport and subsistence funds will be provided.
