Full-time position supporting project managers and leadership teams in planning, executing, and monitoring project costs, budgets, and financial requirements.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project managers to build budgets and align resources with project needs.
- Develop financial forecasts and recommend cost-saving or efficiency measures when appropriate.
- Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Compare actual costs against estimates to identify variances and potential risks.
- Prepare reports and dashboards that provide visibility into project performance.
- Assist in reviewing and approving vendor invoices.
- Work with pricing, contracts, and procurement in securing necessary project support requirements.
- Conduct monthly budget review meetings with project managers and other stakeholders.
- Create and maintain financial reports.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in finance/accounting in a government contracting environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft tools with intermediate to high proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Deltek CostPoint experience preferred.
Qualifications
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration from an accredited school or 3-5 years of finance, accounting, or project analyst experience.
This position may require a background screening and clearance directly from the Government. Telework arrangements are subject to change based on customer requirements.
