Project Accounting Specialist - Project Activations/Setups

This is an hourly, full-time, regular position reporting to the Project Accounting Manager. Eligible for 100% remote work in the Rockies region or in the Southwest.

About the role

Collaborates with SWCA’s Project Managers and Project Controls Team to approve and activate projects based on contract terms and MSAs. Coordinates with accounting and operations personnel, as well as clients, to research and update client information for the client info center.

Responsibilities

• Review new project contracts and budgets
• Review Master Service Contracts (MSA) and document billing requirements
• Maintain MSA documents, including expired and updated versions
• Maintain Vision client information center, including updating notes, researching entities, payment terms, and billing notes
• Complete client documentation for ACH and wire forms
• Serve as backup to counterpart as needed
• Ensure strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Meet deadline requirements as defined by manager
• Participate in program and project meetings as needed
• Update client information in client records based on contracts and communications, including research

Requirements

• Minimum of one (1) year experience with contracts and contract reviews
• Familiarity with Architectural, Engineering, Construction, or Environmental firms (a plus)
• Experience with Deltek Vision or a similar Management Information System (preferred)
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Professional
• Project accounting experience
• Ability to follow established department procedures
• Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Minimum of a High School diploma (or GED equivalent)

Pay

An employee in this Phoenix, Arizona office-based position can expect an hourly wage of $21.94–$27.82/hour. Actual pay within this range may depend on experience, qualifications, geographic location, client requirements where applicable, and other factors permitted by law.
