About the role

This role supports Ryan Companies' growing Mission Critical sector, primarily in the Minneapolis, MN office. Key responsibilities include financial and reporting requirements for construction management projects, including invoice processing, billing, contract administration, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Create and document a working knowledge of each construction project, including applicable owner contract requirements.
  • Create and administer owner billings to meet schedule and timekeeping requirements.
  • Proactively manage collection of open receivables.
  • Create and administer processes and procedures to meet compliance requirements set by owners and regulatory bodies.
  • Communicate with Project Managers, Directors of Construction, and other relevant personnel on strategic and operational matters.
  • Administer prime contractor processes, including insurance and registration, specific to the project.
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, correspondence, scanning, copying, and data entry.
  • Aid in the creation, maintenance, and archiving of electronic and hard copy project files.
  • Aid in the drafting of prime contracts and change orders for PM and owner review and approval.
  • Respond quickly to job-specific accounting questions or issues.
  • Manage the accounting and contract closeout process with the owner on projects.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of accounting and administrative experience in a commercial environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a business-related field.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with a good mathematical aptitude and knowledge of accounting, invoicing, and audit procedures.
  • Ability to collaborate and contribute effectively within a team structure.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Self-motivation to complete tasks accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Drive for continuous improvement both individually and within the organization.

Skills

  • Proficiency in project management systems.
  • Knowledge of construction accounting and compliance regulations.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Pay

The salary range is $80,000 - $100,000. The salary base rate may vary based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Schedule

Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
