Responsibilities
- Overseeing all financial aspects of our construction projects, including budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting.
- Managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and processed in a timely manner.
- Conducting regular financial analysis to identify potential cost overruns, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborating with project managers to develop project budgets, track actual costs against budget, and forecast future costs.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Preparing regular financial reports for senior management, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Working closely with the finance team to integrate project accounting with overall company financial management.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in project accounting, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in accounts payable and receivable, cost accounting, and financial analysis.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- High level of integrity, with a commitment to upholding company values and ethical standards.
