About the Role

Lead all aspects of large and complex customer implementations from contract through implementation. Define statement of work, develop project plans, identify risks and mitigation plans, monitor performance, report status, and ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the business, sales team, and customers to implement new business.
  • Apply Project Management methodology toward project success.
  • Draft, maintain, and obtain approval of project documents such as the Statement of Work (SOW), Project Plan, Change Requests, and Lessons Learned.
  • Develop project plans and drive the team to adhere to the plan.
  • Apply lessons learned from previous projects to improve current and future outcomes.
  • Manage scope of work, recognize changes in scope, and work to control scope.
  • Focus on deliverables and hold the team accountable for the same.
  • Practice Risk Management by identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks to project success.
  • Communicate project status to all stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Ensure established schedule, cost, and quality commitments are met.
  • Administer PMO processes and procedures.
  • Work cross-functionally to overcome challenges and solve problems.
  • Offer perspective and challenge the status quo to drive higher quality decision-making.
  • Build strong relationships with all stakeholders, including the customer.
  • Take responsibility for successful product delivery.
  • Drive quality control on all implementations while meeting customer expectations.
  • Ensure solutions follow company policies and customer requirements.
  • Maintain and follow all MSC and PMO standards.
  • Participate in the ongoing development of PMO processes.
  • Act as an internal consultant, advocate, mentor, and change agent.
  • Participate in the change management process.
  • Maintain confidentiality of necessary information.
  • Foster the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC's vision and unity of purpose.
  • Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in project management, business, or related field.
  • PMI-PMP® certification or equivalent required.
  • 5 years' experience leading large-scale projects required.
  • Advanced project management skills required.
  • Independent initiative and proactive nature.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills required.
  • Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Organizational change management/methodology experience.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite, Smartsheet, and Salesforce.
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining strong relationships with customers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in project management, business, or related field.
  • Organizational Change Management certification (e.g., Prosci®).
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, supply chain, or inventory management.

Other Requirements

  • A valid driver's license may be required.
  • Position requires up to 20% travel.
  • This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information (“ITAR”) and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (“CUI”).
