Role Overview

This position involves providing high-quality nursing care in a 9-bed pulmonary progressive care unit, focusing on patients with acute respiratory conditions such as lung transplants, pulmonary hypertension, and ventilator dependence.

Responsibilities

• Patient assessment
• Developing and implementing individualized care plans
• Educating patients and families
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safety and care quality

Qualifications & Skills

• RN license and Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree; Bachelor’s preferred
• No experience required;
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment with alertness

Key Duties

• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional patient needs
• Coordinate care with healthcare team and educate patients/families on post-treatment management
• Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and professional development activities
