Responsibilities
- Create analysis and design documents, unit and integration test plans based on the Solution Architect Document (SAD) following Agile Scrum methodology.
- Develop ETL jobs using Java, Java routines, Talend Studio 5.6.2, Oracle, Teradata, DB2, and Splunk.
- Capture full and incremental data feeds from various sources using IBM CDC and securely transfer them to the Data Fabric landing zone.
- Performance tuning for MapReduce jobs, Hadoop 2.4.1, HDFS, HBase 0.94.21, Hive 0.13, and Talend jobs.
- Design and develop jobs to extract entity names from file names using custom Talend Java routines and UNIX shell scripting with Regex patterns.
- Create jobs to expose Big Data files in Hadoop HDFS to Hive with respective schemas to ease data extraction and report creation.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or any Engineering field (U.S. equivalent education accepted).
- 2 years of relevant experience.
- Extended travel or relocation required to unanticipated client locations within the USA.
